Wrap Up – 2011 Eric C Yetter Champions Cup
It’s amazing to think that this year’s Yetter is now over. So much time, work, thought and preparation goes into the Yetter – and then it’s over in no time. There are so many people to thank for putting on this show – TD John “JB” Birkrem, the numerous sponsors, the BCDGA club members, the spotters, the players, the park staff, spectators and all those who participated in the fundraising activities throughout the year.
And with all the preparation and planning, things still had to be adjusted along the way. Thank you to the staff and players for understanding the need to change the layout for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. It really felt great to get home earlier than anticipated.
We had one ace this year – Round 1, Hole 19C – which earned Jeremy Koling $350!
The pro men had a tight race going through the first and second rounds. The real surprise was the third round performance of Steve Brinster coming from the second card to tie the leader Jeremy Koling. The playoff lasted three holes with Jeremy taking the win.
Chas Ford was the recipient of the Spirit Award and Marie Fry received the Dynamo Award (formerly the Workhorse Award).
Basket of Cheer Winners were:
Nick Knapp – Martini basket
Bob Eberly – Wine basket
Brian Frederick – Margarita basket
John Jo – Whisky Basket
Randy Eichhorst – Coffee basket
Other contests and challenges were enjoyed by many with a variety of prizes given out.
