Pre-registration for the Yetter Champions Cup will close at 8pm sharp, tonight 9/8/2010. If the tournament is not full walk up registration will begin for Pros on Friday at 9am at the course, and for the Ams walk registration will start at 7am on Saturday.
For the purposes of improved traffic flow, holes 3-18 have shifted. Hole 1&2 stay the same, hole 5 becomes #3, #4 is now #17 and #3, with a new tee pad, is the new #18. At current the old #18C is the only usable pin for the new #18. All baskets have been relocated and the tee signs have been renumbered accordingly. Updated course maps and course scorecards will be online soon. The new #18 tee pad is directly behind the brushpile behind old #5’s tee pad.
Due to the large volume of players on the course for the Eric C Yetter Champions’ Cup tournament, we have reserved the course for the weekend, and it will be closed for regular play. Volunteers to help spot and spectators are encouraged and welcomed! The course will be closed ALL day September 10th, 11th and 12th.
The temporary field holes are cut and flagged for tee and pin locations. The permanent baskets are all in C (except maybe hole 5). The course is ready for practise. Enjoy!
This Wednesday is the start of doubles at Tyler State. The goal is to start 2.5 hours before sunset for as long as possible. This week tee off is 5:30pm. See flyer under upcoming events for further details.
While this Wednesday the 11th is last regular week of Summer League, next Wednesday the 18th is a make up week and end of league BBQ, with payout for all who qualify. The last 50/50 raffle will also be drawn at that time. Please be present if you are receiving payout.
END OF 2010 BCDGA SUMMER LEAGUE PARTY
We are excited to announce that this year’s Eric C Yetter Champions’ Cup tournament is the first qualifier tournament for the 2011 Vibram Open. Trust me folks it is never to early to start planning for next year!
The field is full, with 6 on a wait list and growing. If you are coming out to play be there early, check in starts at 7:30am and ends at 8:30. Any player not checked in by 8:30am will lose their spot to a wait list person. Lunch will be available for purchase for $7 and provided by Slack’s Hoagie Shack, place your order before the players meeting.
If you are not playing, volunteers are always appreciated for sponsoring, need folks both rounds, and for filling and delivering water jugs on the course. I also am looking for a volunteer for sweeping tee pads Friday night.
If you want to volunteer, shoot me an email directly, flyingsquirrel at mindless dot com
See you soon
Thanks
Jb (your TD)
